Our Data Handling & Privacy Policy
Hourly Pay Tracker is a productivity tool that helps you clock in and out of work, track your shifts, and estimate your take-home pay. To protect your privacy, we adhere to strict data-handling practices:
- • Local Data Storage: All shift records, jobs, hourly rates, and time data are stored locally in an on-device database. None of your time or earnings data is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- • No Account Required: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
- • Third-Party Advertising: To keep this tool free, we use Google AdMob to serve ads (banners, interstitials, rewarded videos, and native ads). AdMob may collect anonymous device identifiers, IP addresses, and generalized location data to serve relevant advertisements. Users in regulated regions (such as the EU/UK and specific US states) will be presented with a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to manage these ad preferences.
- • Fraud Prevention: To protect our advertising partners from invalid traffic and malicious bots, we may process one-way hashed (anonymized) device tokens. This purely ensures system integrity and cannot be reverse-engineered to identify you or tied to your time or earnings data.
How the App Works
Hourly Pay Tracker uses standard time-tracking and tax calculation formulas to estimate your gross and net pay based on the shifts you log. Your input data never leaves your device.
Shift history, jobs, and pay settings are stored only in the app's on-device database. When you delete a shift or job, or clear the app's data, that information is permanently removed from your device. PDF timesheet and CSV exports are generated locally on your device and shared only through your system's share sheet. We do not maintain any servers or databases that contain your time or earnings information.

The calculations provided by Hourly Pay Tracker are estimates based on general federal, state, and FICA tax formulas and should be used for informational purposes only.
